About Me

Hi, I'm Kachiri. I'm the Founder and one-person operation at Ratbag Jewellery (previously known as Silver and Cold Jewellery from 2015-2025).

I started teaching myself how to make jewellery in 2015. My passion started from a young age, doing small soldering projects with my Dad. As an adult, I was tired of boring full-time work in dental and decided to try my hand at Silversmithing to put those soldering techniques that I learnt with my dad, to good use. I fell in love with making jewellery instantly!!

Every single piece is handcrafted by me in my home studio from recycled sterling silver and solid gold.

A lot of blood, sweat and tears go into hand making every single piece from scratch, which is what makes them so special. I love what I do.
